Bangka Chicken Team Rice

Ingredient

  • 1 free-range chicken, clean and cut according to taste
  • 3 cups rice (according to taste) wash and drain.
  • enough water (like mom cooks rice usually, reduce the water a little because the chicken releases water).
  • 6 cloves of white onion, puree
  • a piece of ginger, cut into matchsticks.
  • 2-3 tbsp rice wine (can skip)
  • pinch of salt
  • mushroom broth/flavour (if you like)
  • oil for frying
  • 2 sheets of pandan leaves, knot.

Sprinkled

  • Fried White Bwg / Fried Red Bwg.

Method

  • ~ saute the white onion and ginger until fragrant.
  • ~ Enter the chicken stir fry briefly.
  • ~ Add rice, salt, mushroom broth and pandan leaves and mix well.
  • ~ add enough water
  • ~ cook until the water dries up
  • ~ add rice wine
  • ~ stir well
  • ~ when it dries, transfer it to the steamer
  • ~ Steam until cooked and the chicken is tender.
  • ~ sprinkle with fried white onion / fried red onion.
  • Serve the team rice with the complement.
