Ingredients for Pan Seared Tuna Steak

  • 1 pc (200 g) tuna fillet
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

How to Make Pan Seared Tuna Steak

  • 1. Coat all sides of the tuna with lime juice, seasoning powder, salt, and pepper until evenly distributed. Leave it for 5 minutes.
  • 2. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the tuna for 2 minutes over medium heat. Add butter. Drizzle tuna with butter. Flip the tuna, and cook 2 more minutes. Remove and serve while hot.
  • Note: tuna steaks are best cooked briefly. If you cook it too long, the texture will be tough.
