Mapo Tofu Ingredients

  • 1 pcs silken tofu, diced
  • 200 gr minced beef
  • 5 pcs shitake mushrooms (optional)
  • 4 pcs garlic
  • 1 cm chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3-4 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili flakes/chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp sichuan pepper, brewed with hot water
  • To taste broth powder, salt, sugar, pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 stalks spring onion

How to Cook Mapo Tofu

  • 1. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant, add the meat, stir-fry until it changes color
  • 2. Enter the chili powder, chili flakes, water, salted coconut milk, fish sauce, chili sauce, mix well, add the Sichuan pepper steeping water, plain water, stock powder, a little sugar and pepper
  • 3. Wait for it to boil, add tofu and cornstarch solution, bring to a boil again, add green onions, mix well, serve
