What's the difference between Ketoprak and Kupat Tahu?

Why Called Ketoprak Food?

The naming of ketoprak is not without reason. The name ketoprak is taken from the sound made when a plate of food falls. the name ketoprak arose from a food seller who tried to make a different food so that his food sold well.

Ingredient

  • 3 pcs lontong ready to use
  • 1 ounce of boiled bean sprouts
  • 6 pcs fried white tofu, cut into pieces
  • 2 boards of boiled vermicelli

Sambal Ingredients

  • 15 pcs red chili
  • 100-150 gr fried peanuts
  • 5 cloves of garlic (adjust to taste, mom likes the onions)
  • Sweet soy sauce to taste
  • Lime
  • Javanese tamarind water/water to taste
  • Brown sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste

The method

  • 1. Grind fried peanuts, garlic until smooth, add brown sugar, salt and grind well
  • 2. Pour the Javanese tamarind water/water little by little while still pulverizing it until the chili ingredients are well mixed.
  • 3. Add limo juice, mix well, taste correction. Arrange boiled vermicelli, pieces of tofu, boiled bean sprouts, rice cake and then flush with peanut sauce on top.
  • 4. Sprinkle with fried onions, crackers, sweet soy sauce and cucumber slices. Serve
