manado porridge / tinutuan

Ingredient

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 piece of sweet corn, comb
  • 100 gr Pumpkin, peeled, cut into 2
  • 3 lemongrass stalks, crushed
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 3 cloves of red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp stock powder
  • 1/4 pepper powder
  • Oil for frying

Complementary

  • Fried tofu
  • Fried tempe
  • Tinutuan Sambal
  • Salted fish

Step

  • 1. Saute onion and garlic until fragrant. Set aside.
  • 2 . Cook the rice with water until the rice breaks. Then add lemongrass and cook until it boils.
  • 3. Enter the stir-fry spices, sweet corn and pumpkin. Add salt, pepper and mushroom broth. Cook until porridge and pumpkin are soft.
  • 4. Add kale and mix well. Cook until the leaves wilt and the pulp thickens.
  • 5. Ready to serve.
