pempek dos / grilled sago

Ingredients

  • 125 gr wheat flour
  • 50 gr rice flour
  • 250 gr sago flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and seasoning to taste
  • 500 cc of boiling hot water

Stuffing

  • – Dried shrimp/ebi roasted and puree
  • – Ground cayenne pepper
  • - sweet soy sauce

The method

  • 1. Mix flour and rice flour, salt and seasoning until smooth.
  • 2. Pour boiling hot water, little by little while stirring until blended.
  • 3. Enter the egg, mix well, and add the sago, knead and mix well. (The texture is a bit sticky, don't add sago, the final pempek will be sticky)
  • 4. Grease your hands with sago then take a little round shape dough, slightly flatten it, do it until the dough runs out.
  • 5. Bake the pempek in a pan over low to medium heat until the pempek is cooked, turning it occasionally.
  • 6. Do not split the pempek until it breaks and then add the filling.
