Beef Gule Kupat

Ingredient

  • 250 – 500 grams of beef
  • 1.5 liters of water (1500 ml of water)
  • 1 stalk lemongrass geprek
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 segments of geprek galangal
  • 2 lbs lime leaves
  • 1 segment of geprek ginger
  • 2-3 cm cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp thick coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Java sugar
  • -1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt and beef broth to taste

Ground spices

  • 8 red onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 pecans
  • 1 tsp coriander granules
  • tsp cumin
  • tsp pepper granules

Method

  • 1. Boil or pressure the meat until tender.
  • 2. Saute ground spices until cooked.
  • 3. Add 1 liter of water and 500 ml of meat boiled water. And add all the spices.
  • 4. Add the meat.
  • 5. Add salt and stock.
  • 6. Finally, add the thick coconut milk.
  • 7. Until the meat is absorbed with the spices. Turn off the fire.
  • Serve with prawn crackers and soy sauce.
