Dabu-dabu Sambal Fish

Ingredients

  • 2 tilapia/grouper/other, clean
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Spring onions
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • The oil for frying

Dabu-dabu sauce ingredients

  • 5 pieces of red cayenne pepper, sliced
  • 5 pieces of green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 cloves of red onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Salt & sugar to taste
  • 2 tbsp hot oil used for frying fish

How to make

  • 1. Fish seasoning: puree garlic, onion, coriander and salt. Apply to fish, let stand 20 minutes then fry until cooked.
  • 2. Sambal dabu-dabu: mix all ingredients except hot oil, stir. Then add hot oil, stir.
  • 3. Serve the fried fish with the sambal.
