Ingredients

  • 2 milkfish
  • 3 cloves of red onion, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 50 ml sour water
  • 2 lemongrass stalks, bruised
  • 5 pieces of cayenne pepper
  • 2 lime leaves
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder (me: 3 cm raw turmeric, grated + water, squeeze the water)
  • 1 tomato, cut into 4 parts
  • Water
  • Lime
  • Salt, sugar and powdered broth to taste
  • Oil

How to make

  • 1. Clean the fish and cut into pieces. Sprinkle with lime juice, let stand 15 minutes.
  • 2. Wash thoroughly.
  • 3. Saute onion, garlic, lemon grass, lime leaves until fragrant. Enter the fish, add turmeric water, tamarind water and enough water.
  • 4. Cook on medium heat.
  • 5. Add salt, sugar, and powdered broth. Add tomatoes and chilies. Cook until done.
  • 6. Ready to serve.
