Beehive Buns
Ingredients for Beehive Buns (Beehive Bread)
- 1 egg (weight 50 gr)
- 35 grams of sugar
- 110 ml liquid milk uht
- 3 g instant yeast
- 250 gr high protein flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 28 gr butter/margarine
Honey syrup
- 1 tbsp honey
- 40 g sugar
- 30 ml water
- *** Cook all ingredients to a boil, reduce heat, cook until slightly thickened
How to Make Beehive Buns (Beehive Bread)
- 1. Mix the eggs, sugar, milk, and instant yeast, stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- 2. Enter the flour and salt, mix well, knead until well mixed, let stand 20 minutes.
- 3. Add butter, knead until elastic. Cover with cling wrap, let rest for 45 minutes. Deflate the dough.
- 4. Cut the dough into 10 grams, let stand 5 minutes, round it, and arrange it on a 20 cm round baking sheet that has been smeared with margarine (requires 37 circles). Cover with cling wrap or whatever and let it rise until it doubles.
- 5. Brush the top with whole milk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, bake at 190 °C for 15 minutes until the top is browned. Remove, heat and brush with evaporated milk or butter. Serve with honey syrup or butterscootch sauce (caramel sauce).
