Hot Rain Oil Rice

hot rain oil rice

Ingredients

  • 500 gr Basmati Rice
  • 250 ml Evaporated Liquid Milk
  • 600 ml Water
  • 2 Tbsp Margarine
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee/Ghee
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 10 gr Chicken Cube non MSG
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 75 gr chopped onion
  • 2 opposing flowers
  • 5 grains of Cardamom
  • 5 cloves
  • 5 cm Cinnamon
  • 2 Sheets of Pandan Leaves tied
  • Sufficient Yellow Dye
  • Sufficient Blue Dye
  • Enough Red Dye

Complementary

  • Red Cooked Chicken
  • Pickles

How to make

  • 1. Wash the Basmati rice, and soak the rice for 20 minutes, then drain.
  • 2. Heat the Ghee/Ghee and Margarine Oil, stir-fry the cinnamon, Lawang flowers, cardamom, cloves, and pandan leaves until fragrant, add the garlic, and onion, chop, then stir-fry until fragrant
  • 3. Enter the rice, stir well, and stir fry for 2 minutes. Then pour into the rice cooker, add salt, chicken cubes, evaporated milk, and water, mix well. Cook rice as usual.
  • 4. After the rice is almost cooked, (already dry) make several holes (use chopsticks/spoon sticks), then put a few drops of dye into each hole, with a different color (to make it interesting). But don't drip too much dye into each hole, just 2 or 3 drops, per hole. Then cover, and cook the rice until cooked. After the rice is perfectly cooked, let it rest for 15 minutes, open the rice lid, stir the rice with a fork (so that the rice grains don't break). Serve hot rain oil rice with the complement.
