Every person should know how to cook, and especially how to cook safely. Everyone has different dietary restrictions, so no one should be afraid to experiment with different recipes, and find the ones that suit them best. There are a few basic ingredients that are always needed in recipes: water, oil, salt, and pepper. Other ingredients, like herbs and spices, can be used to add flavor and also to provide health benefits.
1. Pour coconut water/plain water into a pot/pan, add bay leaf, galangal, salt, brown sugar, ground spices & tamarind water, stir and then turn on the fire. After boiling, add tofu and tempeh. Cook over low heat until the water is reduced and the spices are absorbed.
2. Can be directly fried, or left to stand overnight so that the spices are more pervasive and then fried.
Note: use dark brown sugar if you want dark tempe/tofu bacem
