What is a Trancam?
Trancam is a typical food of Central Java, consisting of bean sprouts, long beans cut into small pieces, diced cucumber, finely sliced chicory and sliced basil leaves. however, some recipes also add finely chopped spinach leaves and carrot chunks.

- Cucumber
- Little Sprouts
- Basil
- Long beans
- Grated coconut
Fine Seasoning (Pulled)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 red chilies
- 3 pieces of roasted hazelnut
- 8 pieces of bird's eye chili (optional)
- Enough kencur
- Liquid brown sugar (to taste)
- Terasi (optional)
- 1 tbsp tamarind
- 2 lime leaves
- To taste sugar, salt and royco
How to make
- 1. Wash clean and cut into small pieces all the vegetables set aside
- 2. Puree the spices then mix with grated coconut, mix well, steam briefly so that it doesn't go stale easily. Mix the steamed spiced coconut with vegetables and serve
