Chicken Paprikash

Ingredient

  • 16 pieces of chicken according to taste
  • 2 pcs onions, finely sliced
  • 8 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1500 ml of water
  • 1 tbsp powdered chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp flour + 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp sour cream / plain yogurt
  • 1 handful chopped parsley

How to make

  • 1. Prepare a large oven-proof skillet/pot. Heat the olive oil. Fry the chicken pieces until they change color. Remove and set aside the chicken.
  • 2. Fry the onion and garlic with the remaining oil in a saucepan until fragrant. Add paprika, water and stock powder. Cook until boiling.
  • 3. Put the chicken pieces back into the pan. Cook over medium heat until the chicken is cooked. Add flour solution. Stir well.
  • 4. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • 5. Add sour cream / plain yogurt to chicken dishes. Stir and cook briefly until the sauce thickens.
  • 6. Put the pan with chicken into the oven. Cook for 20 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken is brown. Turn off the oven.
  • 7. Sprinkle chicken paprikash with chopped parsley. Serve hot with pasta, noodles or rice.
