Tempe Kriwil

tempe kriwil

Tempe Kriwil Ingredients

  • 10 pieces of tempe mendoan (or regular tempeh, thinly sliced)
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  • 150 gr wheat flour
  • 10 gr rice flour
  • 10 g cornstarch
  • Salt & stock powder to taste
  • 330 ml of water

Ground spices

  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tsp coriander

How to Make Tempe Kriwil

  • 1. Thick dough: mix flour, rice flour, cornstarch, scallions, salt, powdered stock, ground spices & 330 ml of water, mix well.
  • 2. Make a thin dough: take a few spoonfuls of thick dough, then add a little water, stir. (Don't be too runny/thick, it won't dry out later).
  • 3. Enter the tempeh into the thick mixture.
  • 4. Heat the oil (really hot), add the watery mixture, then add the tempeh, overwriting it with the watery mixture that was entered first. (More clearly see the video above, yes, it's hard to explain in words).
  • 5. Fry until cooked.
