  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 1 rs ginger, thinly sliced
  • 2 rs of turmeric, thinly sliced
  • 1 rs of galangal, thinly sliced

Other Seasonings

  • 1 stalk lemongrass, crushed
  • 1 lb bay leaf
  • tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • tsp mushroom broth
  • tsp ground pepper

How to Make Pindang Serani Milkfish

  • 1. Wash the milkfish, then marinate it with koji amino by @_koh.jie to reduce the fishy smell
  • 2. Saute the sliced ​​spices along with the bay leaf and lemongrass
  • 3. Add sugar, salt, powdered broth, ground pepper and enough water
  • 4. Stir well and let the water boil
  • 5. After boiling, add the fish
  • 6. When the fish is almost cooked, add the sliced ​​tomatoes, star fruit and whole chilies
