How to Make Tempeh Tofu Bacem

  • Saute ground spices, bay leaf, galangal & lemongrass until fragrant, then add sweet soy sauce & brown sugar
  • Just add enough water until the tofu tempeh is submerged, season with salt/mushroom broth, then add the tofu tempeh
  • Cook/boil the tempeh tofu until the water shrinks, correct the taste.
  • If it is absorbed and the taste is right, remove it & can be served immediately or fried (me: fry briefly, remove, drain the oil, serve with cayenne pepper)
