Chicken Tofu Opor Ingredients

  • 2 lemongrass stalks, bruised
  • 5 lime leaves
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 chicken, cut into 2
  • 3 pieces of tofu, cut into fried
  • 1 pack of coconut milk
  • 1.5 liters of water

Ground spices

  • 3 tsp coriander granules, roasted
  • 1/2 tsp cumin, roasted
  • 2 tsp peppercorns
  • 6 pecans, fried
  • 3 cm kencur
  • 3 cm galangal
  • 10 shallots
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

How to Make Tofu Chicken Opor

  • Heat oil, saute ground spices, lemon grass, lime leaves, and bay leaves. Stir until fragrant.
  • Add the chicken pieces, stir until the chicken is stiff.
  • Add the water, continue to cook over medium heat until it boils and the chicken is tender.
  • Add coconut milk, stir occasionally until it boils, add tofu. Reduce the heat, cook until the coconut milk is slightly oily.
