Ingredients for Oseng Kates

  • 500gr kates chopped / shaved
  • 1 sheet of bay leaf
  • 2 cm galangal
  • 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • whole chili (optional)
  • salt, brown sugar, mushroom broth to taste

Spices

  • 15 pcs cayenne pepper
  • 5 cloves bamer
  • 4 cloves baput

How to Make Oseng Kates

  • Squeeze the chopped kates with coarse salt until the texture is limp, then wash and drain
  • stir-fry the ground spices together with bay leaves and galangal until cooked, add salt, brown sugar, and mushroom broth to taste
  • Enter the kates, ungkep until half soft
  • Add 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce, stir until well blended, and soft. no need to add water, sis. serve with other side dishes
